Lack Financial Education: My life without understanding the value of money.

 I grew up in a small village, where people then lived by harvesting from the fields and get meat from the wild and fetch water from the river...


  It sounds tough but we were enjoying our life to the fullest. 

We were only taught on how to look after cattles, how to plough, how to make (build) a house. By the age of 12, I could already make my simple structure. 

 It was all fun!

Then the school part came... My dad would tell me that, as a man, you should be smart. You have to know how to balance things in life. Studies were important, but not as much as doing house chores.

I could go at school and leave in the middle of the lesson, to come home and look after cattles. Teachers wouldn't mind you leaving the class by then. What a life...

And then I grew up, things started to change. People started prioritising education. Technology came in, and a lot more changed.... I always read this book to help me develop myself.


And then money started being valued more than ever before. Ouch! I never had been confused before than the confusion I got when I came to realize that money is everything one needs in order to live the life they want. But I use to be told that money is the 'root of all evil'. Lol!

Ok, to cut things short; I grew up without knowing or having had financial education. It's not taught in schools. Although it's integrated, it's just not enough that one have to know how to handle money. 

 Imagine, being a young boy, and thinking about getting paid every month... You'll think you'll never go broke. I grew up knowing that those who get broke are people that don't work. Hmm, dump right? No, it was the people that we were around with that misled us. 

I think everyone goes through regrets of having being misled, but as an individual, you have all the time in the world to change things.

Everyone's got 24 hours to change something in a day. If you use this time to regret your past, then you will not change your future. If you spend the 24 hours to solve your troubles, you'll not have the time to build your future.


So, spend time wisely, sometimes, to solve problems will help you pave a way for your future. It depends on the type of problems you're solving.
